Life paralysed in Sindh cities


KARACHI: Life and business activities in different cities of Sindh including Karachi and Hyderabad has come to a halt Saturday as tension gripped different parts on Friday night after unknown men opened fire in the air.

According to reports, majority of the petrol pumps, markets, restaurants and other shops are still shut while thin transport was observed on the roads. Citizens are facing severe difficulties owing to less public transport and CNG closure.

Unknown people resorted to aerial firing forcing the shopkeepers and traders to close their businesses on Friday night. The shops, food centers, parks and petrol pumps those remain open till late night in Karachi and Hyderabad were closed after panic gripped both the cities post intermittent firing incidents.

The affected areas included Orangi Town, Baldia Town,Saeedabad, Maskan Chowrangi, Hasan Squire, old city areas, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauher, Nagan Chowrangi Gulbhar, Sarjani Town, Shah Faisal Colony, Anda Morh, Hussainabad, Liaquatabad, Water Pump,North Karachi, Landhi, Korangi, Saddar and Tariq Road.

Latifabad, Heerabad, Hyder Chowk Cloth Market areas also remained tense after aerial firing in Hyderabad. Thin attendance was observed in schools and offices today morning.

Situation remained the same in Mirpurkhas and businesses activities were closed after unidentified men fired in the air.
