Rangers arrest 100 suspects in anti-terror move in Manghopir area

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Saturday arrested several suspects during a search operation in Manghopir area of the city for the second consecutive day on Saturday

According to our correspondent, this time the paramilitary force entered the area with its Anti-Terrorism Squad and lady officials with a helicopter hovering over the slum locality for the aerial surveillance.

On the other hand, the residents of the area protested against the operation and blocked several roads while some protesters pelted stones that injured Geo News’ cameraman Rehan and driver Jaffri. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

On Friday, Rangers, who also enjoyed policing powers, had arrested some suspects from the same area.

Karachi has long been witnessing an unending violence with gory incidents of targeted killings taking place on daily basis.
